"To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world." Dr Seuss
When you have found that one person who is your world, who makes your skin tingle at their touch, who makes you smile when they walk in the room, who loves you more than life itself, you know you have met your life partner. For many couples, the natural next step is to affirm their love in marriage. But not everyone wants a religious ceremony and, for many years, the only other option was a registry office, a rather cold, impersonal affair by any standard. Now, however, thanks to alternative organisations like TLC, Marriage Officers in Scotland can be from many different walks of life, helping you to create and design your wedding ceremony in a way that captures the essence of your unique love story. You can decide the venue - whether it's a beautiful hotel, a boat on the loch, a marquee in your garden or a village hall - as well as dress code, any symbolic elements you may want, the music, and, most importantly, the words spoken.
How the chapters of your book of love unfold is up to you; but to tell your magical story requires the help of someone confident and creative; highly skilled in their mastery of speech and story telling; who can have your audience in hysterics one minute and moved to tears the next. I am all of these - and more! If you choose me as the celebrant for your wedding, you can have complete confidence and trust that I will make your special day one to remember, for all the right reasons - and you'll know that it was the second best decision of your life!

When You Book A Ceremony With Me
I can promise you a ceremony that reflects who you are as individuals, as a couple, and how you want this chapter in your Book Of Love to be remembered. By listening to your story, and the mood you want to set for your wedding - whether it is spectacularly extravagant, full of fun and laughter, something more traditional in nature, or perhaps a combination of all of these - I can design a ceremony exactly to your taste that will have your guests talking about it for years to come.
Designing a ceremony as important as your wedding takes time and, of course, lots of conversations. These help us to get to know each other and give you the peace of mind that you need that everything will go to plan without fuss or stress. As well as telephone and email communication, I offer up to three meetings - either face to face or online - and set clear timescales for completion of each element.
I will create for you a bespoke wedding script that will wow your audience with its captivating story of your love. I can create your vows or promises - unless, of course, you want to write them yourself. If you want to keep them as a surprise element on the day, that's okay too. Many couples like to include a symbolic element or two into their ceremony and I am more than happy to advise on these as well.
You may want a wedding rehearsal prior to the day itself which I am more than happy to factor in.
As an English graduate, former English teacher and lifelong lover of romantic literature, I can help you to choose readings and poems that reflect your love for each other and the mood you want to set for your wedding.
Remember, it's at times like these that words really do matter.
